The Future of Cyber Security
The future of cyber security is driven by quite a few different changes in current methodologies and theories. While urgency remains the primary driver, threat intelligence and information sharing are also key. The act of sharing threat intelligence amongst organizations in both the private and public sectors is key to an effective cyber security program. Across these sectors, there are different attack vectors and methodologies that need to be shared for advanced analytics and correlation to efficiently stop the threats. There are also many solutions that are more visionary and advanced that the public sector cannot or will not invest in due to the nature of their sector. Private organizations can implement and develop these solutions much more flexibly, and also have the ability to assist the public sector organizations with developed proven methodologies. Cyber security will need to continue to develop governance surrounding threat information sharing.
